Glassine Bags: Elegant and Protective Packaging Solutions
The envelope is a product with much more complexity and uniqueness than it might seem, as each category of envelopes corresponds to a specific need in a shipment. Glassine paper bags appear fine and delicate, but in reality, they have been manufactured to protect sensitive objects. Due to their special characteristics, they promote the preservation of small, beautiful, and delicate items while allowing the contents to be identified at a glance, thanks to their translucent nature. Glassine bags have many uses, which is why they are available in various models.
Great Diversity of Glassine Bags
We offer various options for storing small objects such as glassine paper bags, but also cellophane bags, to name just one example. You can choose between two different formats: square and pocket, depending on what you wish to store in them. Regarding their sizes, glassine bags range from the smallest at 40 x 40 mm to the largest at 220 x 110 mm. Of course, there are up to 17 sizes between these measurements to fit the needs of your shipment.
Just like with some envelopes and polyethylene bags, glassine paper bags have the opening on the shorter side, meaning they are in a pocket format. A prominent flap protrudes, facilitating the task of inserting the items in question. In our online store, we offer glassine bags with two types of closures: self-adhesive and with an open flap. Regarding the weight of these wrappers, it should be mentioned that they are extremely lightweight, barely exceeding 50 g/m² in weight.
What Are Glassine Bags Used For?
These bags, made with glassine paper or glossy paper, have numerous uses:
• Storing and Preserving Photos and Negatives: The fact that they are translucent wrappers greatly facilitates consultation, as it will not be necessary to extract all the content to find out what is inside. Additionally, the top opening of these envelopes also allows for easier insertion of small objects.
• Storing Stamps or Postcards: Simply choose a glassine bag that fits the size of these items, and it will become an essential ally to keep these collections well-protected.
• Introducing and Transporting Jewelry: In this way, it will be protected from the outside and from moisture, and will prevent dust accumulation. Even for small objects such as screws, nuts, and other DIY elements, glassine paper bags are very useful.
• Gardening: If you enjoy gardening, you should know that they also serve to preserve seeds and protect them from moisture, ensuring they do not spoil.
